In the afternoon of August 31st, Tsinghua University High School held the opening ceremony of the 2020-2021 academic year on its playground, attended by the special guest Mr. Zhang Chaozhong, Vice President of Qidi Education Group, and leaders, all teachers and students of the school. Zhang Su, the Director of the Teaching Management and Research Center presided over the ceremony. It started with solemn national anthem and flag raising.

Bai Xuefeng, Vice Principal of school unveiled the winners of “Student Qidi Award”, including the Principal Award, Future Star Award, Outstanding Class Award, and Outstanding Student Association Award. By commending outstanding individuals and groups, hope more students can be inspired to be "leaders with ideals, spiritual belief, capabilities, and responsibilities".

Qian Cheng, a 2020 senior graduate who has been admitted to the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University, delivered a speech and shared his experience of growth and learning in Tsinghua University High School.

Wang Dianjun, Principal delivered a speech for the new academic year, putting forward new expectations: students in junior grades should pursue ambitious dreams boldly; those in intermediate grades should take their own initiative and focus on improving their qualities in various aspects; those in graduate classes should face up to various challenges while sticking to the original aspiration. All the students, faculties and staff of the school will always stick to the spirit of “Self-Discipline and Social Commitment” of Tsinghua University, and forge ahead to show new styles and climb to greater heights!
