Xu Wenbing

Xu Wenbing, male, Han nationality, CPC member, holds a Ph.D. He graduated from Northeast Normal University in 2000 and has been teaching at Tsinghua University High School since then. He was once the secretary of the Mathematics and Technology Joint Branch of Tsinghua University High School and the leader of the mathematics teaching research group. He held the post of Vice-Principal of Tsinghua University High School from July 2015. He has been engaged in front-line education and teaching work and has been involved in the training, guidance, and management of mathematics competitions for the science experimental classes of the Ministry of Education and the Innovation Classes of Tsinghua University High School for many years. Under his instruction, nearly 100 students have won prizes in mathematics competitions at various levels; five students were selected for the National Training Team of the Mathematical Olympiad, and one student twice won a gold medal in the International Mathematical Olympiad with perfect scores (43rd and 44th editions). He has published over 70 articles in nationally recognized core education and teaching journals and has edited or co-edited six monographs. His honors and affiliations include: Council Member of the Chinese Mathematical Society, Council Member of the Beijing Mathematical Society, Senior Coach of the Chinese Mathematical Olympiad, Beijing Backbone Teacher, Beijing Municipal Discipline Leader, Beijing Outstanding Teacher, Beijing Special-Class Teacher, Graduate Student Supervisor for the Master of Education program at Northeast Normal University, and Mentor of the Mathematics Group of the Haidian District Master Teacher Workstation.
