On the afternoon of August 5th, the five-day 2020 First Centennial Schools Mathematics Competition came to an end in Ningbo High School. Six contestants from Tsinghua University High School Team achieve excellent results with one gold medal, three silver medals and two bronze medals.
Lu Yuan from Senior Grade 1 wins the gold medal; Tian Xinyang and Liu Jiaxin from Senior Grade 2 and Zhang Shaobo from Senior Grade 1 win silver medals; Zheng Mingyao from Senior Grade 2 and Du Zonghang from Senior Grade 1 win bronze medal.

The opening ceremony
The Centennial Schools Mathematics Competition is initiated by Mr. Qiu Zonghu, the former Vice Chairman of Chinese Mathematical Olympiad Committee. As the first high-level mathematics competition that fully adopts the IMO (International Mathematical Olympiad) competition system in China, it is specially for schools with a history of more than 100 years. A total of 12 schools participated in the competition this year with six high-level contestants each, who win a total of 8 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 24 bronze medals.
