The whistle sounded and the dust settled down. After two years, the Cadillac Center became the ocean of Tsinghua purple again in 2019.
Two years later, the Tsinghua University High School basketball team made a gorgeous turn-back! Facing with well-matched adversaries, Tsinghua never shrank from the battle these days. With unflagging efforts and tough training, specifically with the constant love of basketball, players make a big comeback, and demonstrate the spirit "no sports no Tsinghua" with perfect scores.
On April 7th, the Beijing Primary and Secondary School Basketball Championship, i.e., Beijing City Final of Nike High School Basketball League was held in the Cadillac Central Basketball Gymnasium. After fierce competition, the Tsinghua University High School boys’ basketball team defeated Beijing No. 4 Middle School 62-56, and Tsinghua defeated Beijing No.35 Middle School 72-52 in the girls’ final. Both teams win the championship!

The competition draws attention of relevant leaders, such as Wang Dingdong, the Inspector of Beijing Municipal Education Commission; Zhang Xia, the Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports; Bai Xilin, the Secretary-General of Chinese Basketball Association; Su Jun, the Head of Youth Affairs Department of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports; Sun Guohua, Chairman of Beijing Basketball Association; Li Nan, head coach of China's national men’s basketball team and many other guests who have come to watch. The Tsinghua University High School principal Wang Dianjun, the Secretary of Party Committee Fang Yan, the leading group, and more than 3,000 students together with teachers and parents have come to watch and cheer for players. The whole stadium was lit up by the high spirit.

Boys’ basketball final
At 4 PM, the game between Tsinghua University High School and its old rival Beijing No. 4 Middle School started on time. Two schools teamed up with presenting an wonderful game show. With the cooperation between the guard Luo Haoyuan and the team, Tsinghua drew with Beijing No. 4 Middle School 28-28 in the first half. In the second half, after the coach Zhang Tao pushed the tactical layout, Tsinghua gave the score a lead by the overall cooperation of Yang Xihao and the team. However, Beijing No. 4 Middle School ended the second half with struggling counter-attacks, pulling Tsinghua into a 48-all tie. The game was sent into overtime. In the playoff, players of Tsinghua withstood tremendous pressure, indomitable struggle, and completed a rout with further strikes from Beijing No. 4 Middle School. Finally, Tsinghua beat its opponent 62-56, and the player Yang Xihao wins the "Most Valuable Player (MVP) " of the game.

Girls’ basketball final
In the girls’ final, Tsinghua fought bravely, acted in perfect unison, and kept ahead. Beijing No. 35 Middle School tried to struggle, but was all dismantled by the excellent defense of Tsinghua. Finally, Tsinghua won 72-52, completing a sweep and advancing the game. Li Ruoxin and Li Meitong from Tsinghua were selected as the best team of the game, and Li Meitong wins the MVP.

The Beijing Primary and Secondary School Basketball Championship is hosted by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and Beijing Municipal Education Commission, which co-organized by Beijing Students Activities Management Center and Beijing Basketball Association. It is the largest and highest-level basketball competition for primary and secondary school students in Beijing.
