The 18th Chinese Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (CGMO) was held at Wuhan Foreign Languages School in Wuhan, Hubei Province from August 10th to 15th. Li Siyu, a student in Class G1810 of Tsinghua University High School wins a gold medal in the competition.

There are two divisions in the contest, each with 4 questions. Each question is worth 15 points and the total score is 120 points. A total of 39 gold medals were awarded against fierce competition. Nearly 160 female students from various provinces and cities in China, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, Russia, Singapore, Philippines and other countries and regions took part in the competition.
Founded in 2002, the Chinese Girls' Mathematical Olympiad mainly targets at high school girls in China, which is a major event with high standard, large scale and wide influence. The previous Chinese Girls' Mathematical Olympiad has attracted a group of female elites from home and abroad. A large number of female high school students with extraordinary talent for mathematics are successfully selected in the event. Many female participants have become members of Chinese training team and national team for Mathematical Olympiad. The Chinese female students’ confidence, interest and potential in mathematics has been inspired to a considerable extent and they get wonderful opportunity to prove themselves, display their exceptional talents and beef up their skills in the event.
